Sibling restaurant to the multi-award-winning My Kingdom for a Horse, A Prayer for the Wild at Heart overlooks Hurtle Square, its name taken from Tennessee Williams’ play, “Stairs to the Roof”. Late-night basement brasserie is one for the Francophiles. A little slice of Paris nestled beneath the bustling city streets, this gorgeous, low-lit spot is designed to transport you back to 1930s France for a little while. From beef tartare and pâté en croûte to snails and steak frites, guests can expect a delectable array of flavours on the menu. With an emphasis placed on the use of local produce, the chefs incorporate imported French products such as snails and foie gras. Don’t wait; this pop up bar will only be here until December.

Situated on the vibrant thoroughfare of Peel Street, this new tapas bar and restaurant will bring a unique blend of flavours through both dishes and cocktails. Featuring Mediterranean sharing plates until late, and local wines until even later, the soon-to-open Icarus will serve up dishes cooked over charcoal, offering a distinctly smoky flavour. A new modern-Asian restaurant Paper Tiger opened its doors on Rundle Street’s East End in April this year. Bringing a menu with the best flavours of Southeast Asia, Paper Tiger is merging the diversity of food drawing on inspiration from Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia and delivering it in an electric atmosphere. Vintage Chef Co brought its home-cooked hearty meals to Gawler, officially opening a family-friendly café in STARplex Gawler on July 18. Talented foodie behind Vintage Chef Co’s success, Teagan Carpenter, said the new venue is a great place for people to be able to catch up over good food, with all dietary requirements catered for. “We will be offering a range of healthy, delicious ready-to-go food, plus a signature menu, from 10 ’til three daily, and of course a more Street Food menu available for the after school kids.”

While not exactly new to the scene, their location certainly is. Saray Kebab House moved into the shop next door and thus expanded capacity, allowing more patrons to indulge in their delicious Turkish cuisine. Dishing up authentic and aromatic Turkish cuisine, this family business has been inundated with customers since reopening in May, now with a space that can meet the demand of the delectable popular dishes.
