The Italian restaurant has been serving customers at its Commercial Street location for over a decade.
Bosses at Bellini in Dundee have announced the immediate closure of the Commercial Street restaurant.
Opened in 2011, the eatery was popular among locals and enjoyed positive reviews on TripAdvisor.
But the sudden closure was announced after owners of the family-run business left a poster on the front door informing customers.
It said: “Due to the current climate and circumstances beyond our control, Bellini has ceased trading.
“Thank you for your custom over the years. Grazie a tutti (thank you all).”
The restaurant prided itself on serving authentic Italian dining, with menus filled with pasta, pizza and steak dishes.
Customers raved on social media about the delicious food, atmosphere and service provided by staff.
The restaurant was recently named on one social media page as one of the three best Italian restaurants in the city.
News of the restaurant’s closure comes after popular Nethergate hotspot Tonic was forced to close its doors.
After 18 years in operation, bosses took to social media to announce they were forced to shut.
They said: “Eighteen years of shaking, stirring, flipping, frying, drinking, laughing and crying has now come to an end.
“We gave it our best shot but unfortunately we’ve been unable to keep the business going in these troubled times.”
Nearby bar and restaurant The Caird also shut last year, insisting that high rises in supplier and energy costs were part of the decision.
Owners of Bellini were unavailable for comment.
