McDonald’s has commenced construction on a new Perth restaurant which will be fitted out with modern decor, dual landed drive thru, dedicated partner delivery room, McCafe and PlayPlace for customers to enjoy.
The new Macca’s will be located in Alkimos and is expected to inject $6.6 million into the local economy and create more than 250 jobs.
The company is currently hiring crew for their stores across the city, with barista, host, management and maintenance roles up for grabs.
Shanti Sivaraj, Licensee for McDonald’s Alkimos, said he is excited to serve up tasty meals once the take-away venue opens.
“We are excited to start construction on a new restaurant in Perth and create 150 construction jobs, as well as a further 100 operational jobs once the restaurant opens,” Sivaraj said.
“McDonald’s Alkimos is committed to playing an active role in the local community through providing jobs, training and development opportunities, as well as supporting local charities and groups that are important to our customers and people.
“We look forward to serving up our great tasting, great quality menu once the restaurant opens later this year.”
Sivaraj joined McDonald’s as a crew member more than 35 years ago but now employs more than 700 members of the community across six Perth restaurants.
