Last Home Frank Lloyd Wright Designed Could Now Be Split Among Six Owners
The owners of Frank Lloyd Wright’s final residential design, the Norman Lykes House in Phoenix, have been trying to sell it since 2020, first listing it for $7.95 million. The sellers are now looking to a new strategy and are offering the home as a fractional sale, allowing six buyers to purchase the historic home for $1.5 million each. Potential owners, who ideally are Frank Lloyd Wright fans looking to preserve and enjoy the home, will have the chance to meet one another before buying and will also be required to rent the home for a month. Built in 1967, the circular building has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a pool, and was designed to mirror the surrounding desert landscape. Architectural Digest

Plans Unveiled for 623-Foot Hybrid Timber Tower in Perth, Australia
Plans have been revealed for a hybrid timber residential tower in Perth, Australia—billed as the world’s tallest. Australian architecture studio Fraser & Partners has designed the 623-foot building, dubbed C6, as a “new benchmark in height for mass timber,” with 42% of the structure made from the material, including cross-laminated timber floors and glued laminated timber beams. The rest of the build will be concrete and steel. “C6’s timber structure was calculated to sequester 10,500 tons of carbon compared to a typical concrete building of the same scale,” according to Fraser & Partners director Reade Dixon.
