Singapore Airlines Cargo and cargo.one announced a global partnership to bring the airline’s cargo services to the real-time digital booking platform. By partnering with cargo.one, Singapore Airlines Cargo joins the online sales channel and gains access to cargo.one’s large global user base of freight forwarders. Singapore Airlines Cargo’s partnership with cargo.one is a further step in applying digital innovation to deliver the best possible digital experience for its cargo customers. Within a few clicks, freight forwarders using cargo.one can search, book, amend and track Singapore Airlines Cargo bookings in real time, and seamlessly collaborate with colleagues on bookings.
The airline decided to partner with cargo.one based on its strength of technology, proven track record in facilitating excellent digital booking experiences, and its expert collaborative approach for unlocking maximum airline agility and value from digital distribution. Chin Yau Seng, senior vice president for cargo, Singapore Airlines, said “At Singapore Airlines, we are committed to the continued digitalisation of all areas of our business. Through our partnership with cargo.one, we have the ability to offer our customers an enhanced online booking experience with greater speed, flexibility, and convenience. This is one of many steps that we are taking to provide a more seamless experience for our cargo customers.”
“We are proud to partner with Singapore Airlines Cargo globally and bring its excellent cargo services to cargo.one users. Both companies share a strong motivation to continually raise standards and efficiencies in all aspects of cargo booking”, says Moritz Claussen, Founder & Co-CEO of cargo.one. “Among many aspects, Singapore Airlines Cargo brings to the table invaluable Asia market insights”, he adds.
Singapore Airlines Cargo and cargo.one are working together to combine expertise and tailor cargo.one’s technology to the airline’s exact needs. As part of its data-driven decision-making, the airline can now leverage the real time data feeds and market insights and benchmarks from cargo.one360 – cargo.one’s data and analytics solution. The facility greatly helps airlines to understand customer choice data and improve revenue management and pricing. In addition to its strong technical expertise earned across many airline integrations, cargo.one is proficient in steering digital business growth. To bolster this support, cargo.one has recently appointed Fabrice Godeau as Vice President Airlines, Asia Pacific. With 25 years’ experience in the region, he has an extensive background in working with airlines and airports to increase performance through effective technology transformations.
In the first phase, from July 2022 freight forwarders will have access to Singapore Airlines Cargo’s capacity using the cargo.one marketplace. The partnership provides cargo.one users with additional access to sought-after Asian destinations such as Singapore, Bangkok, Shanghai, and Manila.
