The Queen i s believed to have had at least 30 godchildren from the 1950s through to recent times, according to a report by Buckingham Palace from 2002. Many of them gathered for her private funeral ceremony at St George's Chapel in Windsor.
Not all of the godchildren have been revealed. Some of the most notables range from European royalty to British aristocracy.
Only some of the Queen's godchildren are known to the public. Prince Philip reportedly had more than 50 godchildren in his lifetime.

Alexander, Crown Prince of Yugoslavia (born 1945)
The Queen became the godmother of Alexander, Crown Prince of Yugoslavia, when she was still Princess Elizabeth. Elizabeth's father, King George VI, was also his godparent.
Henry Percy, 11th Duke of Northumberland (1953-1995)
According to Tatler, before his tragic death aged just 42 in 1995, Henry was known as a hell-raiser with a rock ’n’ roll lifestyle. He had relationships with Naomi Campbell’s mother, Valerie, and actress Barbara Carrera.
Caroline Elizabeth Longman (Born 1951)
A former girlfriend of Prince Charles in his bachelor days, Caroline is the daughter of Lady Elizabeth Longman, one of the Queen’s bridesmaids at her wedding to Prince Philip.
David Armstrong-Jones, 2nd Earl of Snowdon (Born 1961)
The Queen was known to be very close to her nephew, the only son of her younger sister Princess Margaret and her husband Anthony Armstrong-Jones, the 1st Earl of Snowdon.
David Lascelles, 8th Earl of Harewood(born 1950)
David is a great-grandson of King George V and a first cousin, once removed, of his godmother, the Queen. His father, George Lascelles, 7th Earl of Harewood, was the son of Princess Mary, Princess Royal, who was the only daughter of King George V and Queen Mary.
James Ogilvy (Born 1964)
James, a landscape designer and photographer, is the son of the Queen's beloved cousin and companion, Princess Alexandra, and her husband Sir Angus Ogilvy.
Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer (Born 1964)
Princess Diana's younger brother, Earl Spencer, is a godson of the Queen. Passionate about Althorp, his family seat, he runs the estate full time.
Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark
The Greek royal family has always enjoyed a close relationship with the Windsors – the late Prince Philip was a member. Princess Theodora is the daughter of the former King Constantine II and his wife Queen Anne-Marie.
The Lady Virginia Mary Elizabeth FitzRoy (born 1954)
Lady Virginia FitzRoy is the daughter of Hugh FitzRoy and Ann Fortune FitzRoy, Duchess of Grafton. Ann served as the Mistress of the Robes, a position she has held since 1967.
Princess Friederike of Hanover (born 1954)
Princess Friederike is the daughter of Prince George William of Hanover and Princess Sophie of Greece and Denmark, Prince Philip's sister.
