THE UK has been mourning the loss of the Queen since she passed away on September 8, 2022.
After lying in state at Westminster Hall, the Queen will have her state funeral and her committal service on Monday, September 19, 2022.
The Queen’s state funeral, which has been planned by the UK government for years in an operation under the codename London Bridge, will be on the eleventh day after her death, following a 10-day mourning period.
According to the plans, following a committal service in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, the Queen will be buried in the King George VI Memorial Chapel.
The chapel, named after the Queen’s father, was built in 1969 within the main St George’s Chapel.
The Queen has been lying in state in the middle of Westminster Hall, since Wednesday, September, 14, 2022.
Westminster Hall has been open to the public 23 hours a day.
The Queen will lie in state until the day of her funeral, when she will be moved to Westminster Abbey at 11am.
On the day, processions will take place in London and Windsor, followed by a two minutes’ silence at 11:55am.
Prince Phillip passed away at the age of 99 in April 2021.
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were married for 73 before his death last year.
Prince Phillip was buried at St George's Chapel, where the Queen's committal service will be held on Monday, September 19.
After her funeral, the Queen and Prince Phillip will be reunited in death, as his coffin will be moved to join her at their final resting place, King George VI memorial chapel.

St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle has been the preferred burial place for the British Royal family since the 19th century.
Within the chapel are the tombs of 10 sovereigns and some of their family members.
