Grimsby town centre and the Asda car park was left completely empty
Streets in Grimsby have been left deserted as mourners pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II on the day of her funeral.
Grimsby town centre and the car park of Asda on Holles Street appear to be completely empty and deserted on Monday, September 19 after the day was declared as an official bank holiday, with shops closing to allow staff to watch the service.
Crowds of mourners gathered in London to watch the Queen’s State funeral at Westminster Abbey. A total of 2,000 people attended the service with hundreds of thousands expected to line the streets of the capital.

Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday, September 8 at the age of 96. She was the longest reigning British monarch.
