The global authority in superyachting

Superyacht interiors studio Mark Berryman Design has teamed up with aviation giant Boeing to reveal two interior private jet concepts.
The customised interior concepts were penned for Boeing’s fleet of ultra-large cabin, long-range business jets. The task of designing a jet interior presented the studio with “a new set of opportunities and challenges” in comparison to designing yachts.
The studio applied its in-house contemporary style with subtle Asian accents to two interior concepts; a corporate concept and a private concept.
Both concepts share the core design inspiration but feature “varying layouts” for different uses. Both are described as “comfortable, natural interiors with functionality at the forefront,” by the studio.
The private concept focuses on creating individual spaces, as opposed to an open-plan layout. Key areas include an entrance foyer, accommodation for eight guests and an owner’s suite with a bedroom, bathroom and private office.
“By creating different rooms, we are able to incorporate artwork onto the bulkheads giving the impression more of a house than a plane,” the studio said.
By comparison, the executive concept features a more “streamlined” interior and is geared towards creating a working environment. An open lounge features individual workstations for a total of twelve people and can also be converted into sleeping quarters.
The rear of the plane meanwhile has a private combined space for working and sleeping and would be suitable for a couple or joint CEOs. The styling meanwhile is described as “relaxed, stylish, subdued and subtle”.
“Our designs have a warmth and richness without feeling too opulent or overdesigned, which we discovered is a very different interpretation compared to alternative concepts available on the open market,” the studio said.
