William Davis Homes has recruited to three new senior roles to support its expansion plans. The company has created separate land Director roles for both the East and West Midlands – Sarah Whetton and Matt Colloby respectively – as well as appointing fromer KPMG chartered accountant Richard Irons as a chief financial officer.
Persimmon Homes has appointed a new regional construction director in its Cornwall and West Devon region. Mike Crawford moves from his role of construction director at Bloor Homes and his 20+ years career in housing started as a site labourer for Alfred McAlpine Homes aged 19. As a senior site manager he won 16 NHBC awards.
Barratt Developments North East has welcomed its new commercial director Karen Wheatley to its board of directors. She has a degree in Quantity Surveying and began her career in construction in 1987 as a cost and bonus surveyor. Moving to Frank Haslam Milan, she worked there for 19 years, working her way up to Head of Commercial.
Urban Union is strengthening its board with three new appointments. Managing director Neil McKay will be joined by Kirsty Parry, sales and marketing director, Alan Dunsmore, technical director and Carol Lambie, finance director. McKay commented: “I am delighted to be joined on the board by such a strong team.”
Native Residential has announced promotions of Rajiv Mehta to operations director (UK); Helen Aldridge to director of marketing & communications, Simon Wilkinson to commercial director and Alec Newton to origination director. New appointments are Ushir Patel, Jake Matthews, Richard Clogg and Dougie Orton-Wade.
For-profit Sage Homes, owned by private equity giant Blackstone, has appointed Iain McPherson as its chief operating officer. He is currently a non-executive director at Town & Country Housing and Monson Homes and was previously chief executive of Countryside, having held senior positions at Hyde Group and Crest Nicholson.
Kosy Living has announced the appointment of Mark Hughes as its new managing director, responsible for leading the group in all its sectors including Build to Rent, co-living, purpose-built student accommodation and later co-living. He joins Kosy Living following eight years at Crosslane Residential Living, where he was managing director.
Savills has appointed Simon Turner, a former senior development manager at Homes England, as a director specialising in supporting public and private landowners and developers across the North. He brings with him more than 20 years’ experience working in residential and mixed-use development and regeneration.
Housing association Stonewater has appointed Darren Martin as its new chief information and transformation officer. Having originally trained as a clinical psychologist in Canada, he moved into the realm of IT, developing a unique insight into the relationships between technology, people and innovation, working in both the public and private sectors.
PfP Capital, part of Places for People, has appointed Catherine Webster as its new chief executive officer from January 2023. She joins from Quintain, where she is executive director for strategy and investment, and has worked in real estate investment and finance for 30 years, holding several senior investor and lender roles.
Construction technology firm Modulous has appointed a client accounts director following a £10million Series A fundraise. Chris Spiceley joins from contractor Claritas Group, where he headed up Four Zero, the company’s MMC arm. 20 years’ experience also includes two years at Places for People as a director of developments and delivery optimisation.
Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has announced the appointment of Uliana Kuzmis as deputy managing director within its Development Finance division. She joins following seven years at Octopus Group, where she was most recently head of development finance (light). She said: “I am thrilled to be joining HTB!”
