Ara City Radio’s Monday morning slot featured Tom Clarke and Duncan Roberts talking about this week’s events focused on Asteroid Day and how Luxembourg’s space sector is growing.
Breakfast show presenter Tom Clarke welcomed Duncan Roberts into the s Ara City Radio studio for the regular Delano’s Top of the Week slot on Monday morning.

The grand duchy offers incentives for private sector companies seeking to develop space mining opportunities.
Asteroid Day was co-founded by Queen guitarist and astrophysicist Dr. Brian May, Apollo 9 astronaut Rusty Schweickart, Silicon Valley entrepreneur Danica Remy and German filmmaker Grigorij Richters. It is marked on 39 June as the anniversary in 1908 of the Tunguska impact over Siberia, when a meteoroid of around 50–60 metres in diameter disintegrated at an altitude of between 5 and 10 kilometres and flattened an estimated 80 million trees over an area of more than 2,000 km2.
The events in Luxembourg are open to the public and includes broadcasting of the Asteroid Day Live show from Kirchberg. An event on Friday afternoon at the Tramschapp called Astronauts Inspiring the New Generation is aimed at families with children ages 10 and above who will get a chance to meet astronauts Ron Garan and Christer Fuglesang.
Duncan then provided listeners with three “what’s on” tips for the coming week including Australian punk band The Chats at Rotondes on Wednesday, an exhibition on Japan’s 72 microseasons at the Natural History Museum opening on Friday, and next weekend’s. Kirchbéier craft beer festival.
Finally, Duncan’s track of the week was I See Angels from Tess Parks’s new album And Those Who Were Seen Dancing.
