Sunday marked the annual open day hosted by the Luxembourg Army at Herrenberg, giving people of all ages an opportunity to learn more about daily life and work in the army.
More than 16,500 people made use of the opportunity to get a glimpse of the inner workings of the Luxembourg Army. Visitors were able to watch demonstrations of equipment and weaponry, although only blank cartridges were shot on Sunday. Children were also given the opportunity to participate in small workshops.
Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, Minister of Defence François Bausch, and Chamber President Fernand Etgen were also present to inspect the latest developments and infrastructure.
