The stormy weather is affecting air traffic at Findel airport on Friday.
Luxair already took precautionary measures on Thursday after cancelling one of their Munich-bound flights. Today, the airline has delayed and cancelled further connections.
Winds of up to 110 km/h are expected.
Four flights to and from London have been cancelled since “London City airport will be closed until 4.00pm” on Friday. Luxair has confirmed that all affected passengers have been reassigned new flights.
More flights could be delayed or scrapped, depending on how the storm develops, Luxair officials further noted: “All our guests have been notified about cancellations and rebooked on earlier or later flights.” The airline also recommends that travellers arrive at the airport well in advance.
LuxAirport has in the meantime announced that one Luxair flight headed for Dublin was also cancelled, as well as four KLM flights to and from Amsterdam.
