Jobseekers can now register with unemployment agency ADEM online, a Luxembourg government press release announced on 1 February.
It is now possible to register with ADEM via the MyGuichet.lu platform in order to benefit from its services, which include help from an advisor, access to job listings and more. Users planning to sign up must have a LuxTrust tool in order to authenticate their identity.
Once registration and an online file are completed, users will be sent an invitation to meet with a referral advisor who will help them in their job search.
It will remain possible to register by phone as well, but this requires an appointment with ADEM, which can be done by calling +352 247-88 888 or via ADEM’s website.
The new functionality comes as part of the government’s efforts to digitalise its services. In November it announced that, as of 2022, tax declarations can be done entirely online. On the govtech front, the country has recently improved its ranking in the European Commission’s eGovernment benchmark to fifth place in Europe.
Jobseekers can launch the online registration process from ADEM’s website.
