The awards highlight green, social and sustainability bond deals and leading market participants who contribute to the development of sustainable finance.
“It is a tremendous honour for the exchange and all our teams to with the Exchange of the Year award for the fifth consecutive year,” said Julie Becker, LuxSE deputy CEO and founder of the Luxembourg Green Exchange (LGX).
“This recognition strengthens our commitment to continue to accelerate our contribution to the achievement of the sustainable finance agenda and contribute to the global goals,” said Becker who is in line to become LuxSE CEO in April.
The green exchange in 2020 launched an academy to provide training in sustainable finance to market professionals. It also created a data hub offering information on more than 3,000 sustainable bonds from more than 800 issuers.
LuxSE in 2020 also expanded its LGX platform to include sustainability-linked bonds, the organisation said in a press release, now counting more than 900 sustainable debt securities totalling €440bn
