KUALA LUMPUR — Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad signaled a shift away from politics on Wednesday after losing his parliamentary seat in Saturday’s election, saying he will now focus on documenting his country’s history.
Mahathir’s political coalition, which ran under the flag of his Homeland Fighters’ Party, or Pejuang, failed to win a single seat in the lower house.
