Update: Huawei has now started to debut the FreeBuds 2 Pro in select market such as Czechia. The TWS earbuds’ new product page effectively validates all their earlier leaks, , enhanced ANC and all.
Then again, it doesn’t go over the new 2-driver system in much detail. Then again, it does reveal that its up to 47dB noise isolation uses 3 mics, as opposed to 2 in the FreeBuds Pro.
Their successors are indeed available in a new Silver Blue colorway, as well as White Ceramic and a nearly-black Silver Frost. They have started at the ~US$212 range (based on their 4,999 Czech koruna price), and are being offered with a free Band 7 until July 10, 2022.
Original Article: Huawei and Devialet are now tipped to partner again on new flagship TWS earbuds that might launch soon in 2022. Accordingly, these accessories are now also slated to do so as the FreeBuds Pro 2, and may bring some new and brighter colors to its line, an icy cool blue included.
These shades are applied to renders of buds with a stocky AirPod-clone form-factor much like that of the original FreeBuds Pro. However, their putative successors are now said to pack multiple upgrades within this familiar shape.
They include the division of frequencies (e.g. those for treble or bass) between a pair of drivers per bud. Their respective sizes remain unguessed-at, although they are supposedly rated to cover a total range of 14-48,000 hertz (Hz).
The FreeBuds Pro 2 are now projected to support ANC at up to 47 decibels (dB), compared to 40 in the first-gen accessories. They may also be Hi-Res Audio-certified, last for up to 6.5 hours (albeit with ANC off only) between charges in their ~30-hour case and have something called a "Triple Adaptive Equalizer".
There is no concrete word on when these Pro 2 earbuds might launch, although they are linked to a price of about €199 (~US$207) on the European market.
