Huawei has started offering the MateStation X in the UK, nearly months after the all-in-one (AIO) PC’s European debut. Incidentally, Huawei announced the MateStation X last September in China, which explains its reliance on older silicon. For some reason, Huawei has decided against offering the MateStation X with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600H in the UK, the entry-level APU option in other markets.
Instead, the MateStation X only comes with a Ryzen 7 5800H, a more powerful APU that AMD has now replaced with the Ryzen 7 6800H. Additionally, the MateStation X has a fixed 16 GB of RAM and 1TB of storage; there is no obvious way to upgrade the AIO. Huawei adds that the RAM operates in dual-channel mode and is of the DDR4 variety. Unfortunately, it has not provided any details about the included SSD.
Also, the MateStation X has a 28.2-inch IPS panel that operates natively at 3,840 x 2,560 pixels in a 3:2 aspect ratio. Moreover, the large display peaks at 500 nits but only offers a 60 Hz refresh rate. Currently, the MateStation X is orderable in the UK for £1,799.99, for which Huawei also bundles a wireless keyboard and mouse. Huawei is not offering any order bonuses at launch.
