Anti-Trump protesters gathered outside Trump Tower in New York City in the wake of the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago, photos show.
Critics held signs that read “Arrest Trump!” “No one is above the law,” and “Honk to indict the coup plotters” in front of Trump Tower on Tuesday in reaction to the news.
However, there were also supporters of the former president in attendance, with some being seen holding “Trump 2024” signs.

“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump wrote in a statement Monday evening. “The political persecution of President Donald J. Trump has been going on for years, with the now fully debunked Russia, Russia, Russia Scam, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2, and so much more, it just never ends. It is political targeting at the highest level!”

The warranted search, which took place while Trump was in NYC, allegedly pertains to records that Trump brought back with him to his resort in Florida after leaving office.

Records kept at Trump’s resort were collected by the National Archives in January after the agency identified documents removed from the White House. The agency said its officials obtained 15 boxes of records from Mar-a-Lago, including materials marked as classified national security information, that were not given to the National Archives, as is required by the Presidential Records Act.
