Honor Magic 4 series is eligible is testing MagicOS 7/Android 13 in China. Meanwhile, global Honor Magic 4 Pro users are now receiving the Magic UI 6.0.0.177 update that comes with a number of new features and optimizations.
According to the information, the Magic UI 6.0.0.177 update for Honor Magic 4 Pro and other devices comes with better touch settings. It also brings November 2022 security patches, display effects, and optimization for a better user experience. The update is rolling out in batches and may take some time reach among owners.
Honor Magic 4 Pro global users can grab this firmware via Settings, then tap on System & updates and followed by the software updates section. However, you can make a backup of important files before downloading new software.

Last month, Honor announced Android 13 based MagicOS 7 and its beta is now rolling out for several models. The rollout is confirmed on various models mentioned in the official roadmap.
According to the information, Honor MagicOS 7 is released for closed beta testers and selected participants will move to public beta in the next phase. After completing the beta test, Honor will send stable MagicOS 7.
Let’s look into the models and their corresponding Honor MagicOS 7/Android 13 beta versions:
Honor Magic V:
The phone is receiving MagicOS 7.0.0.101 upgrading from Magic UI 6.0.0.185.
Honor Magic 3 Series:
Honor Magic 3, Magic 3 Pro, and Magic 3 Supreme Edition are receiving MagicOS 7.0.0.107 upgrading from Magic UI 6.0.0.139.
Honor Magic 4 Series:
Honor Magic 4, Magic 4 Pro, and Magic 4 Supreme Edition getting MagicOS 7 version 7.0.0.108 version upgrading from Magic UI 6.0.0.178.
Honor V40:
Honor V40 series is also eligible to download MagicOS 7 closed beta with version 7.0.0.121 users will have to download Magic UI 4.0.0.201 and 205 to participate in the beta activity.
MagicOS 7:
Honor MagicOS 7.0 is a people-centered intelligent interconnection ecosystem, it continues to improve AI Services. The software is also released with a personalized OS, protects privacy and security proactively, and updated the accessibility operation.
Beta:
It’s noted that the active rollout is spreading as Log and Nolog software packages.

Today, Honor launched MagicOS 7 software for its devices probably based on Android 13 looks similar to the Huawei HarmonyOS operating system, in most aspects. To excite existing users, Honor also released MagicOS 7 eligible devices that we’ll explore.
With this launch, Honor officially renamed Magic UI mobile software to MagicOS, of which the last version was Magic UI 6.2.
Since it’s a new streamline, there are features that focus on connected smart devices as well as cross-device content sharing.
On other hand, there are features dedicated to AI-powered capabilities. The system enhancement with Turbo X system engine for performance improvement and Link Turbo network aggregation for fast network access.
Honor MagicOS 7 user interface also brings new changes including better app icon design, service widgets, Honor Sans font family, and smooth animations. There are also large folders to group your home screen app icons and access them instantly. All of these contributes for a better UI/UX experince.
Moreover, there is new handiness for Honor’s foldable device such as a smart keyboard split screen and typing support. Moreover, there is a new smart widget and task manager support added specially for foldable devices.
Furthermore, Honor promises better system security with the MagicGuard security center and Privacy assistance. Meanwhile, there is new anti-fraud and real-time malware app detection. These seem similar to what we’ve in HarmonyOS.
