HP has launched the Chromebook x2 11, a new 2-in-1 tablet based on Chrome OS. While many Chrome OS tablets already exist, the Chromebook x2 11 is the first with 4G LTE support. The device also has an 11-inch display, which operates at 2,160 x 1,440 pixels in a 3:2 aspect ratio.
As the marketing images below imply, the Chromebook x2 11 supports pen and touch input. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c lies at the heart of the tablet, which HP has complemented with 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB of eMMC storage.
Additionally, the tablet has a 32 Wh battery that HP claims should give it up to 11 hours of battery life. A USB Type-C port handles charging, which it does so at 45 W. Meanwhile, HP has included a 5 MP selfie camera, an 8 MP rear-facing camera and a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
The Chromebook x2 11 will be available later this month from Best Buy for US$599.99. For some reason, HP will not stock the tablet until October. There is no word on global availability yet, either.
