A visit to the average mookata restaurant is often shiok, but never really something you could consider fancy or luxurious. Take that Thai BBQ experience, place it on a boat you now have Emma Rose Yacht’s private mookata on a yacht.
For birthdays, anniversaries, and extravagant weekends with the fam, indulge in a sizzling dinner away from the usual mookata restaurant crowd and grease.

Singaporeans love our food and we’d suss out restaurants on the furthest edges of the island to find something special – remember Googling for lesser-known restaurants on your last date night?
Owned by a Muslim family, Emma Rose’s “mookata on a yacht” experience is set on board a large 1982 Bertram 58ft cabin cruiser. There’s one bedroom, one toilet, a living room and lounge area on board, and a handful of post-meal activities to enjoy as you digest.
Find the staples of mushrooms, meatballs, hotdogs and prawns.
But first, let’s talk food. We sailed the Lunch BBQ Mukata On a Yacht package, which came inclusive of more food than our crew of 3 could finish. Ingredients were nicely presented in identical white trays – not something we can say for every mookata restaurant.
Plain water and orange juice come complimentary with the booking, along with a sweet ice cream dessert.
Everything on the menu is Halal-friendly, so our Muslim friends don’t have to worry a thing.
Basking out on the deck is an unspoken staple activity for every yacht trip, but if that’s not your jam, head down into the lounge where there’s a karaoke machine where you can sing your lungs out. There’s no one around to judge but the fish underwater, and they can’t lodge a noise report.
Alternatively, have a chat with the friendly captain and you may just be able to pose at one of their steering wheels for a quick photo. For the families, board and card games like Life and Uno will be available for some wholesome bonding.
Mookata is a supper classic that we often associate with affordability but you can give it a 180 spin and turn it into something luxurious on board the Emma Rose Yacht.
Prices begin from $350/boat for a 2-hour lunchtime sail for 2 people. Larger groups can top up an additional $25/person, up to a capacity of 10 pax. Premium lunch, dinner and supper packages are available, alongside overnight stays and jetski packages for those who want to spend more time out in the open waters.
