All 31 monopile foundation wind turbines have been commissioned at the Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm, according to Northland Power.
The commissioning phase of the 31 MHI Vestas 8.4MW turbines began in early June, with all the planned work said to be completed ahead of schedule.
As reported, the 31 monopile foundation wind turbines were installed at the project site in the German North Sea at the end of August.
The installation and cabling for the wind farm’s remaining two turbines which will be installed on mono bucket foundations are planned for the fourth quarter of 2019.
The 269MW Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm, which delivered first power to the German grid at the end of July, is expected to be operational by the end of the year.
