Royal author Omid Scobie has announced he will be releasing a new book on the monarchy next Summer.
The author previously penned Finding Freedom about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepping away from their roles as senior royals.
He says his new creation Endgame, which is set for release on August 1 next year, will ‘pull back the curtain on an institution in turmoil—exposing the chaos, family dysfunction, distrust and draconian practices threatening its very future’.
According to a statement released by the publisher: ‘On September 8, 2022, the world stood still as news broke of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.

‘Her death dismantled the protective shield around the world’s most famous family, and saw a long-simmering crisis of confidence in the British monarchy begin to resurface.
‘Now, with unique insight, deep access and exclusive revelations, journalist Omid Scobie pulls back the curtain on an institution in turmoil—exposing the chaos, family dysfunction, distrust and draconian practices threatening its very future.
‘This is the monarchy’s endgame. Do they have what it takes to save it?’
Mr Scobie, who is the royal editor of U.S. website Harper’s Bazaar, has been a firm cheerleader for Harry and Meghan over recent years, having co-authored the couple’s biography in 2020.

He is one of the closest journalists to Harry and Meghan since their move to America.
His book will follow Prince Harry’s autobiography Spare, which is set to hit shelves in January next year.
The book is said to be of great concern to the rest of the royal family due to concerns Prince Harry could name and shame members who he believes have done him and his wife Meghan Markle wrong.
Prince Harry had originally hoped to publish his work in autumn this year, but the tragic death of the Queen meant more work was required – with royal experts speculating he may be rewriting parts in light of the monarch’s passing.

He is said to have requested a number of last-minute changes amid fears his novel would ‘not go down too well’ in the wake of her death.
Publisher Penguin Random House has promised ‘raw, unflinching honesty’ in the ‘intimate and heartfelt memoir’, with Harry reportedly paid a $20million (£18.4million) advance for the book as part of a three-title deal worth £36.8m.
Senior royals are said to be bracing themselves’ for the publication of the 416-page title on January 10. Biographer Tom Bower has warned the memoir’s reception will be a make or break moment for the Sussexes.
‘Put it this way, it’s not going to make for a relaxing family Christmas,’ a source told the Mail on Sunday.
Other experts have warned the book could make it near-impossible for the Sussexes to heal the rift with the rest of the royal family.
