Country music singing trio Chapel Hart received a rare group Golden Buzzer on Tuesday’s episode of America’s Got Talent after their original ode to Dolly Parton.
The Mississippi trio consisting of sisters Danica Hart and Devynn Hart and their first cousin Trea Swindle performed a song called ‘You Can Have Him, Jolene’ inspired by the 1973 hit song ‘Jolene’ written and recorded by country legend Dolly, 76.
Danica said they’ve always been country music fans and Dolly is by far their favorite.

‘And we figured, though, from 1973 to 2022, we could not still be fighting over the same man,’ Danica said about their song.
‘So we just decided to tell her, ”You can just have him, Jolene,”,’ she added.
Their upbeat ode to Dolly quickly won over the auditorium and Danica during their performance urged everyone to get out of their seats and start dancing.
Show judges Simon Cowell, 62, Sofia Vergara, 50, Heidi Klum, 49, and Howie Mandel, 66, gave Chapel Hart a standing ovation along with the whole auditorium.

‘Oh, my God,’ Simon reacted after their performance as an impromptu chant of ‘Golden Buzzer’ broke out from the audience.
‘Trust me, I needed you today,’ Simon told the trio.
Franchise creator and music mogul Simon asked the group if they have been trying to get a record deal or a ‘big break’.

‘We’ve been trying to break into Nashville for the last couple years, but it’s been kind of hard, when I think country music doesn’t always look like us,’ Danica answered wiping tears from her eyes.
‘You know what we’ve gotta do sometimes? You’ve just got to break down that door. And you may have just broken down the door with that performance, trust me,’ Simon told them.
Howie said he believed they ‘broke down the door’ and said he loved the song and their energy.

Heidi and Sofia also gushed over their performance and Simon said he if he hadn’t already used his Golden Buzzer that he would have used it on the group.
‘Me, too,’ said Heidi who also previously used her Golden Buzzer.

Simon took a quick poll and show host Terry Crews, 53, joined their huddle.

‘I think they’re totally unique. We haven’t seen a girl group like this in a long time,’ Howie said.
‘This is really special. Really special,’ Terry said.
‘Okay, all right. Let’s do it,’ Simon said.
‘Five, four, three, two, one,’ Simon counted down as the judges and Terry together pushed the Golden Buzzer.

The judges and Terry then joined the trio on stage and gave them congratulatory hugs.
‘My God, we needed you,’ Simon said while embracing the singers. ‘I love you.’

The trio took a well deserved bow before they left the stage.
‘There are little girls in Poplarville, Mississippi who think that this isn’t possible. But we’re doing it, you know?,’ Devynn emotionally told Terry backstage.
The trio outside celebrated their achievement with a’ Go Buzzer’ ditty.

The two-hour show opened with a crowd-pleasing performance by acrobatic dance group Amoukanama from Guinea, West Africa.
The group ended their performance by forming human pyramids that daringly crumbled toward each other.
Simon said it was audition that he would remember ‘for a long time’ and they received three yes votes as Howie was absent at the start while recovering from an illness.

Simon told Sam that he was ‘authentic’ before the judges gave him three yes votes.

Wenzl McGowen played the saxophone with a construction cone in the horn.
He got a red ‘X’ from Simon during his performance, but Sofia and Heidi enjoyed it.

Maytree singing group from South Korea performed TV theme songs together.
They earned a standing ovation after performing the theme songs to The Simpsons, Modern Family and Cheers.
They received three yes votes and advanced.

Ballet After Dark performed next and their emotional performance was well received by the audience and judges.
Sofia said she loved ballet and really enjoyed their performance.
They got three yes votes and moved forward in the competition.

Svitlana Rohozhyna introduced herself as an aerial performer from Kyiv, Ukraine, and received a round of applause from the audience.
‘All of our love and hearts are with Ukraine,’ Heidi told here.
Svitlana said she was able to bring her mother and sister to the US last week, but her father was serving in the front line against Russia.
She dedicated her performance to her father and called him after receiving three yes votes from the judges.

Jack The Whipper showed off his expertise with a bull whip and received a quick red ‘X’ from Simon.
Heidi volunteered Simon to get in on the act and Jack The Whipper cut it close between his legs.

Sing Harlem choir group belted out a rendition of Free Your Mind by En Vogue that left Simon unimpressed.
He asked for a second song and they won him over with take on Amazing Grace that featured 14-year-old Moses shining.
They received three yes votes and advanced.

John Glenn High School Dance Team were joined by a fully recovered Howie after they advanced with their dance routine in Howie masks.
Amanda Mammana also overcame her speech impediment during her performance of an original song and was voted forward.
Yu Hojin also advanced after his magic routine.
America’s Got Talent will return next week on NBC.
