Harper, who hails from Somerset, won over the hearts of America’s Got Talent’s celebrity judges earlier this year
A talented ten-year-old vocalist from Somerset has collaborated with Jax in a TikTok posted on the American singer's account. Harper Jerret caused a social media storm earlier this year when she appeared on America's Got Talent, impressing judges with her surprising rendition of 'Holy Roller', a song by Canadian metal band Spiritbox.
After being called 'brilliant' by the often underwhelmed Simon Cowell and her capabilities hailed as 'effortless' by Modern Family actress Sophia Vergara, Harper was inundated with support and made it to the semi-finals of the stateside competition. Whilst she didn't make it through the finals, Harper's music career has continued to accelerate, with the young star making a cameo on Jax's TikTok.
26-year-old Jax, who boasts nearly 12million followers on the video-sharing app, uploaded a video with the caption: "I finally found somebody to match my rage. Meet Harper. She’s 10 years old and wants to be a metal singer. This is Victoria’s Secret the metal version."

As Jax began to belt out the lyrics to her song 'Victoria's Secret', she beckoned in Harper, who was waiting off camera, to join her around 15 seconds into the video, shortly before the pair screamed the chorus of the empowering song. Introducing her friend to her devoted followers in the comments, Jax wrote: "Everyone meet Harper. She loves freezing fruit rollups takes her anger out on a microphone"
Beneath the video, TikTok users praised Harper for her incredible talent. Maddison Bridges wrote: "metal isn't my kind of music BUT she absolutely killed it"
Cherish_2484 said: "Go Harper! People don’t realize how hard it is to do this well and do it safely."
"Screaming like that is way harder than people think, what an incredible talent!!!" Andrew Dean wrote.
"Damn the energy In this was epic!!" Sam W said, "I need the remix cover!!"
Leviathan Rox wrote: "that was the best display of talent ive seen in a WHILE."
Harper flew out to the US back in April of this year to audition for America's Got Talent, hoping to win the $1million cash prize and a residency in Las Vegas. Following Harper's initial performance on the reality competition show, model and judge Heidi Klum simply said: "This was unexpected, I have to say."
Simon Cowell commented: "Have you ever seen a film called The Exorcist? Actually, kidding aside, that was brilliant. I mean, brilliant. It was like a mouse turning into a vampire bat or something."
Fellow judge and actress, Sophia Vergara added: “And it was so effortless. Her face was not transforming into a monster. It was something come out of her that was so crazy.”
The Somerset youngster got into singing heavy metal music during the pandemic, after 'messing around' with her stepdad, Ben Lumber, and deciding to have a go at singing 'Holy Roller', which she eventually ended up singing on America's Got Talent. Although she thought metal music was 'just shouting', as soon as Harper started to sing the song, she 'got it straight away'.
When Ben uploaded the video to YouTube, various media outlets picked it up and it went viral. In addition to her America's Got Talent journey, Harper joined Spiritbox on stage in London to perform the song, which she said was 'so much fun'.
