Prince Harry is hoping to be reconciled with King Charles and Prince William, a source close to the royal has claimed. The insider says Harry wants the Sovereign and Prince of Wales to watch the six-part series to understand what he and the Duchess of Sussex went through when they were senior, working royals.
King Charles and Prince William have not responded to the series yet despite claims made by Harry that his brother shouted at him and his father lied during a meeting about the Sussexes’ future.
The source, who was a close friend of Diana, Princess of Wales, told the Mirror: “Harry is delighted with the narrative of the documentary and how he and Meghan came across.
“The reason for doing this was to share their truth on their lives. He feels it told the story he wanted the world to hear and has absolutely no regrets.”
They added that the Sussexes hope members of the Royal Family and courtiers will take heed of their comments although Harry and Meghan know none of what they have claimed will be addressed in public.

The latest season of The Crown and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s docuseries both aired on Netflix in the past two months. Although Harry & Meghan is promoted as a factual documentary, and The Crown a work of fiction based off of real events, a new poll has revealed the public believes the series to be more inaccurate than The Crown.

The source said: “They hope it may prompt a greater understanding from the king and [Waleses] of how Harry and Meghan feel about their experiences in England.
“Harry retains hope for a reconciliation. He loves his father and brother, no matter what people think.”
Daily Express royal correspondent Richard Palmer told the Royal Round Up podcast: “Clearly, William, Prince of Wales, is really not on speaking terms with his brother at the moment.
“And yet at the same time, senior sources close to the king are saying he wants to maintain a relationship with Harry, Meghan and their children.”

He added: “In an ideal world, he wants to fix things. He wants to mend that broken relationship.
“I think there’s always a difference between how they act as a family behind the scenes – some of them at least – and what happens officially.”
But a friend of William’s told the Daily Mail there is no longer any hope of a reconciliation.
They said: “All relationships are built on trust but for members of the Royal Family, who live their life in the spotlight, doubly so.

“The prince is a very private man and what Harry is doing is the anathema of everything he believes. On that alone, many believe it is unlikely he will ever be able to repair his relationship with them.
“Too much water has gone under the bridge.”
Meanwhile, Harry will reportedly be interviewed by for an ITV programme in a move which is likely to send shockwaves through Buckingham Palace.
It is believed the chat will be broadcast next month to coincide with the release of Harry’s book, Spare.

According to The Times, the Duke of Sussex will be interviewed by Tom Bradby, who was the first journalist Meghan opened up to about her mental health struggles.
The rumoured interview may well raise concerns in palace circles with claims the memoir includes criticism of the king and Queen Consort, Camilla.
Harry and Meghan are also due to appear in a new documentary series which they say has been inspired by Nelson Mandela.
Live to Lead will air just a few weeks after their Netflix documentary, which shed light on their life in California as well as their travails with the Royal Family.
The couple’s latest project, which will also air on the streaming service, premieres on December 31.
A promotional trailer features footage of Mandela, a human rights stalwart and former president of South Africa, as well as climate change activist Greta Thunberg.
In the short trailer Harry says: “This was inspired by Nelson Mandela who once said, ‘What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived…”
Meghan completes the quotation saying: “‘It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead’.”
