The prince could miss Charles’ coronation
The release of Prince Harry‘s memoir ‘Spare’ was always going to spark controversy. The Duke of Sussex revealed private conversations between him and members of his family both in his book and the interviews that followed, with several members of the royal family now concerned that any further private conversations could be made public.
The families of Princess Anne, 72, and Prince Edward, 58, in particular, are concerned that any intimate details of the upcoming coronation could be made public and exploited at a later date.
“There have been discussions among the family, including Edward and Anne,” a source close to the family told The Sun. “They do not want private conversations at the Coronation making it into the paperback edition of Spare.”
A poll conducted by The Sun also indicated that 78 percent of 31,300 readers wanted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to stay away from the coronation which will take place in January.
It has also come to light that King Charles no longer speaks directly with his son and that Harry‘s requests are now directed towards his personal assistant via email.
The king was advised by his advisors that this would be the best course of action as any conversations between the pair could be used for Harry‘s Netflix series.
“There has been a sense of concern from Charles‘ side that anything discussed could be repeated or used in content that Harry will make public,” another source close to the family stated.
