TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Home Affairs Ministry said that there are five provinces with the lowest incomes at the end of this year. Data from the ministry’s Directorate General of Regional Financial Development showed that as of December 2 Jakarta is among the bottom five with an income of 75.56 percent of the year target.
The other four provinces are North Sulawesi (66.83 percent), South Kalimantan (70.45 percent), Papua (70.66 percent), and North Maluku (72.54 percent).
Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian asked local governments to increase the realization of the regional budget (APBD) ahead of the close of the 2022 fiscal year.
“This is a step that the regional government needs to do especially in an effort to support economic growth, including controlling inflation,” he said when leading a meeting on inflation control Monday, December 5, as quoted from the ministry’s website today.
Jakarta’s 2022 regional budget is Rp82.47 trillion with a revenue assumption of Rp77.44 trillion. Expenditure is estimated at Rp75.75 trillion, while financing receipts and financing expenditures are projected to reach Rp5.02 trillion and Rp6.71 trillion respectively.
Meanwhile, Tito Karnavian said that the five regional governments with the highest revenues were East Kalimantan (105.98 percent), Bangka Belitung Islands (98.75 percent), Riau Islands (98.73 percent), Central Sulawesi (97.77 percent), and East Java (96.67 percent).
