The Argentine youngster is expected to be called up by coach Xavier Macherano’s squad for the competition in the World Cup winner’s homeland.
Since arriving from Atletico Madrid in the summer, the 18-year-old has potentially seen a rise in his performance under head coach Erik Ten Hag, making 29 appearances in all competitions and scoring four goals. The forward has registered important goals against Real Sociedad, Fulham, and Leeds, as his fine performance reportedly reached an agreement in principle to sign a new five-year deal.
