Most students are placed in secondary schools through the S1 posting process, which takes place once the PSLE results are released. Learn about the process and how to prepare.
Choosing a secondary school for your child depends on their strengths, interests and abilities. Learn about the considerations when choosing a school and how the posting process works to make an informed decision on your child’s school choices and increase their chance of being posted to a school of choice. Then use SchoolFinder to explore and shortlist suitable schools.
Find up-to-date information about the S1 posting process on the MOE website. Use the SchoolFinder to search and shortlist schools using easy-to-use filters such as location, CCAs, subjects and PSLE score range.
With the availability and easy access to online information about the S1 posting process and secondary schools, we will not be printing the information booklet on secondary schools from 2022.
Choose your child’s preferred secondary schools. The S1 Internet System (S1-IS) opens for 24-hour online submission from 11.30am on the day of PSLE results release. You can submit your child’s 6 preferred school choices online within the next 7 calendar days.
The posting results will be released between Wednesday, 21 December 2022 and Friday, 23 December 2022 (tentative) via online, SMS and through your child’s primary school.
