The premier publications for high-quality, hyperlocal news and announcements in Monmouth County, New Jersey
Background:
While there are a few different types of mules, one ingredient is always consistent: ginger beer. Served in a copper mug to not only keep the drink chilled but enhance the flavor, mules offer that perfect mix of a strong drink masked with a refreshing, crisp yet spicy ginger finish.
The Twist:
The most popular mules have either vodka, tequila or gin as their poison of choice. However, Huddy’s Inn decided to not only go against tradition but take the mule more local by using Laird’s Applejack brandy. Laird & Company is an apple spirits distillery based in Colts Neck. With three centuries of family distilling experience, Laird & Company offers a unique take on a historical favorite.
