Whether you're a Londoner, a seasoned traveller or a first-time visitor to our beautiful city, it's essential that you know the best places to stay on a budget – whether for yourself, or to recommend to others. After a day exploring Buckingham Palace and Camden Market, or a night out in Shoreditch or Soho, it's vital that you find somewhere decent to rest your eyes and awak fresh for the next day.
Chain hotels are often your best bet if you're looking to stay in London and can't afford to completely destroy your bank balance. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that whether it be a hotel, restaurant or airline, chains can still differ depending on their location and staff. To save you scrolling through TripAdvisor for hours, MyLondon has compiled a list of the best rated Best Western, Premier Inn, Travelodge and Holiday Inn in the city – so you can try them out, or tell your friends and family all about them.

Company bosses say that "you'll be guaranteed a memorable stay" if you book at the Holiday Inn branch in West London, just a short walk from North Acton' London Underground Station. Visitors will experience the beautifully designed lobby and stunning brand new executive rooms – some of which have views of the city's glorious skyline.
The hotel on Portal Way Gypsy Corner (W3) is conveniently located between Heathrow Airport and the centre of London, with Park Royal, the largest business park in London, and Wembley Stadium just a few minutes' drive away.
One recent review, from a customer who stayed on New Years Eve, reads: "Stayed here on NYE. Turned up early at around midday and was able to check in. Clean and tidy bedroom. Bathroom could do with a bit of updating but everything was clean.
"Nice view of London, and not far too travel into the city. Breakfast was amazing quality, and all piping hot. The reception staff were friendly and efficient, and so was every member of staff we came across. Would definitely return!"
