PRESCOT Bus Station will be closed from today for a period of approximately four weeks.
The bus station on Prospero Place will be closed for four weeks from today, Monday, September 28. This is to enable construction work for the new Shakespeare North Playhouse.
According to the Merseytravel website, bus diversions are as follows:
– Route 10 will commence from High Street, opposite Atherton Street.
– Route 61 will travel as normal from Liverpool to Sewell Street, then via Kemble Street, Warrington Road, then as normal route (omitting Prescot Bus Station, Church Street, High Street and a section of Warrington Road). This service will return via the reverse of this route.
– Route 61 towards Halton Hospital will call at Sewell Street, near Yates Court; and Warrington Road, near St James Road.
– Route 61 towards Liverpool will call at Warrington Road, near Bridge Road; and Sewell Street, opposite Yates Court.
– Route 89 will travel as normal from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Sewell Street, then via Kemble Street, Warrington Road, then as normal route (omitting Prescot Bus Station, Church Street, High Street and a section of Warrington Road). This service will return via the reverse of this route.

– Route 89 towards St Helens Bus Station will call at Sewell Street, near Yates Court; and Warrington Road, near St James Road.
– Route 89 towards Liverpool John Lennon Airport will call at Warrington Road, near Bridge Road; and Sewell Street, opposite Yates Court.
– Route 99 will travel as normal from Prescot to Sewell Street, then via Kemble Street, Warrington Road, then as normal route (omitting Prescot Bus Station, Church Street, High Street and a section of Warrington Road). This service will return via the reverse of this route.
– Route 99 towards Prescot (South Avenue) will call at Warrington Road, near Bridge Road; and Sewell Street, opposite Yates Court.
-Route 99 towards Whiston Station will call at Sewell Street, near Yates Court; and Warrington Road, near St James Road.
– Route 239 will travel as normal from Broadgreen Hospital to Steley Way, then via Kemble Street, Sewell Street, then as normal route (omitting a section of Warrington Road, High Street, Church Street and Prescot Bus Station).
– Route 239 will call at Steley Way, near Station Road; and Sewell Street, opposite Yates Court.
– Route 248 will travel as normal from Huyton to Warrington Road, then via Kemble Street, Sewell Street, then as normal route (omitting a section of Warrington Road, High Street, Church Street and Prescot Bus Station).
– Route 248 will call at Warrington Road, near Bridge Road; and Sewell Street, opposite Yates Court.
– Route C50 will travel as normal from Huyton to Sewell Street, then via Kemble Street, Warrington Road, then as normal route to Rainhill and Widnes (omitting Market Place, Prescot Bus Station, Church Street, High Street and a section of Warrington Road).
– Route C50 towards Widnes will call at Sewell Street, near Yates Court; and Warrington Road, near St James Road.
– Route C50 towards Huyton will call at Warrington Road, near Bridge Road; and Sewell Street, opposite Yates Court.
