A motorcyclist has died after after colliding with an ambulance on a busy road in West Northamptonshire. Northamptonshire Police are appealing for witnesses.
The crash took place on Saturday night, September 3, on the A428 near Althorp and Northampton. At around 6pm, a man on a motorbike collided with an ambulance.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 37-year-old man from Northampton, was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not known whether the driver or passengers in the ambulance were injured.

A Northants Police spokesperson said: "Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dash-cam footage of the actual collision or the vehicles prior to the incident."

Local residents have sent messages of condolence to the biker on social media. One person wrote, "RIP to the rider another life gone too soon."
Another said: "Rest in peace to the motorcyclist and also thoughts to the ambulance crew. I hope everyone is getting the help they need at this sad time."
