Dear Reader,
The Privileges Committee has published its long-awaited partygate report, concluding that Boris Johnson deliberately misled MPs and would have faced a 90-day suspension from the House of Commons. In a scathing 1,700-word statement, Mr Johnson called the report a “political assassination” by a “deranged” kangaroo court. Associate Editor Camilla Tominey argues that the former PM may be dead for now, but he is not buried.
