Viktor Khrenin said: “Belarus’ Military Academy, which can be rightfully described as the key forge of officer personnel of our country and one of the republic’s leading higher education institutions, has turned 70. Looking back at your history, we have the right to say that you have something to be proud of. Tens of thousands of qualified specialists have been trained for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, other defense, security, and law enforcement agencies of Belarus and other countries.”
The defense minister noted that graduates of the Military Academy include statesmen, who are famous in the country and abroad, talented military leaders, scientists, diplomats, lawyers, athletes, and representatives of the business elite. At the same time military science and military education continue developing. Viktor Khrenin is convinced: “The most important goal of the military education system is to train specialists for the Armed Forces, who are capable of leading their subordinates and can wield weapons, military, and special hardware with confidence. It is as important to introduce innovative ideas and R&D products into practice and raise decent citizens and patriots of the country within the academy’s walls.”
According to the defense minister, the Military Academy has accomplished a lot to that effect. “Equipment simulators and training solutions are being actively introduced into the education process. It allows greatly improving the quality of training of military specialists and saving budget funds allocated for training them. The teaching staff and cadets constantly participate in military exercises, live-fire practice sessions, internships, and practice sessions in army units. They examine the experience of wars and military conflicts. The Military Academy is also a major scientific center where a large number of scientific studies are carried out every year, primarily applied ones.”
Viktor Khrenin congratulated the staff of the Military Academy on the anniversary. He mentioned the selfless work of the academy’s personnel in training highly qualified military specialists. He wished them new accomplishments, creative success, and victories.
