This top tier AEW talent should be returning to our screens imminently.
Joe’s gonna kill you…
Having been an extremely sporadic presence on AEW programming in recent months, it appears that Samoa Joe will soon be returning to regular action for the promotion.
For those unaware, the main reason for Joe’s absence is that he’s been filming Peacock’s upcoming Twisted Metal TV series. Adapted from the famed video game, the Samoan Submission Machine is playing the physical form of Sweet Tooth, with LEGO Batman star Will Arnett providing the character’s vocals.
As revealed by Twisted Metal showrunner Michael Jonathan, shooting has wrapped on the series’ debut season. As such, the expectation is that Samoa Joe will now be a featured player on AEW programming once more.

Having appeared at ROH Supercard of Honor this past April, Samoa Joe’s tenure in AEW and ROH has so far seen him have just seven matches. The most recent of those bouts came at ROH Death Before Dishonor this past July, where Joe retained the ROH TV Title against Jay Lethal.
It’s worth noting that the aforementioned Lethal match is the only time that the Destroyer has been in action across the past three months.
