Now located at 333 Orchard Road, and with a shiny new name, Hilton Orchard Singapore is the brand’s new Asian flagship. And it’s worthy of that honour, with more than 1000 guest rooms furnished in a subtle botanical theme, a call out to the fruit-growing past of its location.
On the dining front, it features five vibrant restaurants, including all-day buffet venue, Estate. US chef and former winner of the James Beard Foundation Outstanding Chef Award, Nancy Silverton, has also replicated her heralded New York Italian pizzeria, Osteria Mozza.

Some fantastic hotels here. Cannot wait to stay at Raffles in the not so distant future. I’m staying at Fairmont Singapore in August which will be a first. 
Any other ET members stayed at the Fairmont Singapore? Thoughts on the hotel?

I used to stay at The Fairmont often, before 2020 of course, and sometimes the neighboring Swissotel too. Both have a great location, they are not in the middle of the too-busy ‘downtown’ area around Orchard Road but they are still handy to that strip, the business district and other parts of the city. Plus you have the City Hall MRT station right below you, this is on both the red and green lines so it’s well connected. The Raffles Plaza shops and food court are good but also try the food court up on I think level 3, it’s a bit hidden away but it where then hotel and office staff and a lot of locals go to, ask at the Fairmont reception desk for directions.

Thanks Tony. Agree this is a great location. I have stayed many times at the various hotels in this area, but never the Fairmont. I was close to booking SO, but when I found out it is Singapore National Day (9th August) whilst I am there, I decided to stay closer to the action.

I preference the interlinked Swissôtel because I love the view from the high floors, but the location is awesome.

I’ve stayed several times & the hotel is fantastic (particularly on the executive floors & all that comes with it) Don’t Miss the international buffet breakfast – it’s a knockout. On the 3rd floor in the adjacent shopping centre there’s a great food court that has terrific hawker stall food at amazingly cheap prices

Having lived in Singapore the past 9 years, we finally did a staycation at the Raffles. It exceeded all expectations and is worth paying the extra cost for that rare glimpse on how the top 1% live. Fantastic service and beautiful and historic rooms.

We stayed at Raffles immediately before their renovation, part of the hotel was already closed and it was very quiet.  I’d go back in a heartbeat.  Yes, expensive but so far away from your typical 5-star hotel.

Not been to the new Raffles, but The (old) Intercontinental still gets my vote
They always recognise returnee’s even if it is a couple of years and you get the best rooms. I am IHG ambassador but they double up with extra in room welcomes, F&B credits, that sort of thing, once I even got a upgrade from a basic club room to A heritage suite, normally it is just the heritage room. I would have only been 10 visits, and 20-25 nights in 15 years, so I rate that

The Fairmont Hotel in Singapore is one of the best especially since their refurbishment just recently completed.
I am booked in their Ambassador Suite for 150 nights starting May 30 whilst i wait for my house to be completed. 
Their Chinese resturant is the best in Singapore make sure you try it the food is excellent.
