Two people were arrested after a vehicle and foot chase in connection to an alleged catalytic converter theft, Brooklyn Park Police say.
Officers were sent to the 700 block of Pearson Parkway for a 911 call about a catalytic converter theft around 11:33 p.m. Sunday.
Police say they found a suspect vehicle, but a chase on I-94, I-694 and I-35 began when the driver did not cooperate with officers’ traffic stop attempt. The chase eventually stopped on a St. Paul street after the suspect driver lost control.
However, the suspects then ran from the car, causing a brief foot chase, according to police. They add two adults were eventually arrested.
No other information on the two adults has been provided at this time.
Police found what they say are a stolen catalytic converter, theft tools and a gun.
No one was hurt.
