Tomahawk steaks are often referred to as the steak lover’s favorite cut. One of the best places to order them in Ohio is the chic Marble Room Steaks and Raw Bar, 623 Euclid Ave., Cleveland.Judy Vegh, special to cleveland.com
CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Midwest region of the U.S. is home to a rich and diverse food culture, as any Northeast Ohio native knows from first-hand experience.
Sure, the region is known for hearty American favorites from casseroles to deep-dish pizza. However, the restaurant scene in the center of the country boasts a lot more than the stereotypical dishes often ascribed to it. Thankfully for foodies in the region, the diversity of restaurants only appears to continue to grow.
Yelp, a crowd-sourcing platform filled with restaurant reviews, decided to highlight the region by gathering the top 100 places in the Midwest to eat in 2023. The research is based on the total amount of ratings and reviews restaurants received between January 1, 2021, and May 1, 2023. It included establishments in several states — Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and, of course, Ohio.
