In this gig, you’re responsible for establishing an organisation’s online presence across its social media platforms. Your day-to-day could include planning campaigns, crafting and posting content, monitoring analytics, and engaging with your audience for a digital marketing agency or as part of an in-house marketing team. Social media managers are creative, tech-savvy, and—it goes without saying—love scrolling newsfeeds.
As the world shifts even further away from newspapers and magazines, digital journalism jobs are now the norm. A digital journo creates enhancing news-based content for online and social media. Report on current events and breaking news, chase leads, gather info, and interview the who’s who in the news. A digital journo is naturally curious and loves to have their finger on the pulse.
A digital content producer creates content for any and all channels. Depending on the organisation and its objectives, this could include articles, blogs, videos, email marketing campaigns, social media posts… the internet truly is your oyster. You have a love of words and it’s imperative you can tweak your tone to suit the organisation you represent. The nature of this role provides lots of variety as you jump across digital platforms.
If you’re anything like us, podcasts have you looking forward to folding laundry. Take your love of true crime to a whole new level as a podcast producer. The role is responsible for all production aspects, from writing scripts and audio editing to booking guests and analysing metrics. You’re essentially the captain of the metaphorical podcast ship—without you, our AirPods would be radio silence. This is a dream gig for those who love tinkering with audio equipment, keeping things in order, and making things sound slick.
