Los Cabos is fast establishing itself as a high-end destination for travelers, and this has not gone unnoticed by premium hotel chains who want to either increase or establish their presence in the Mexican Pacific. 2023 is set to be a year filled with grand openings of hotels in the region. These 6 grand openings that are expected to take place next year will be coming off the back of 3 other new hotels that will be opened from now until the end of the year. Here are the 6 new resorts that are slated to open their doors in Los Cabos in 2023.
This hotel has come under a lot of scrutiny long before an opening date was even set. Locals in the region claim that the Vidanta group has illegally taken over the beach. At this point it seems that the beach will in fact remain private property in most areas for guests who visit the resort starting in 2023.
Marriott tags only their most luxurious hotels as St. Regis properties. Since other hotel giants are also looking to bring their premium brand hotels to Los Cabos they don’t want to be left behind. The St. Regis Los Cabos is set to feature 180 luxury rooms.
The resort will also feature 74 private residences all within the 1850 acres of land that the hotel will sit on. A private butler service is going to be made available for the guests of the resort staying at the private villas that the St. Regis will have on property.
The Swiss Aman Hotel brand is planning to build a new resort in Cabo which will also open its doors in 2023. Currently, the luxury brand only features 34 hotels across 20 countries. The company has been known to pick their spots wisely. When guests get a chance to see the views of the sea of Cortez from their rooms at the resort they may very well come to the conclusion that the Aman brand’s plan to build a hotel in Cabo was a good one.
As is the case with Marriott the Hyatt Hotels Corporation is also bringing their highest luxury brand to Los Cabos. They’ll be doing so in the form of their first Park Hyatt resort in the region. It is set to feature a master golf course along with 162 rooms in the main hotel building, and 35 private residences on property. All of this will sit on the Cabo del Sol beach.
With all of these top companies bringing their luxury brands to Los Cabos, a luxury Four Seasons resort began construction in the area as well. The resort is going to be located along the tourism corridor road that connects Cabo San Lucas, and San Jose del Cabo. It’s set to be a much smaller resort when compared to some of the other properties that are being built. In the new Four Season resort the main hotel building will house 96 rooms which include 17 private suites. The resort will also feature five villas.
Gran Solmar is one of the hotel chains that has been in Los Cabos the longest. With the arrival of new hotels from world renowned brands from across the globe in 2023 they wanted to make sure that they had a resort that could compete in the new lodging market. The Gran Solmar at Rancho San Lucas aims to draw in tourists that are looking for a resort with a wide variety of ecotourism related activities available.
