Compensation is the main reason associates stay at their law firms, followed by work-life balance and opportunities for advancement, according to a study released by the National Association for Law Placement Foundation, David Thomas reports.
The study also found that while all associates rated work-life balance highly, female associates placed greater value on it than their male colleagues.
Associates not only wanted opportunities for advancement, but they also sought clarity on how they could advance their careers, the NALP Foundation’s study found. Read more.
