Australia Home With Vast Lego Collection on the Market
A home in Brisbane, Australia, with a room currently dedicated to the owner’s A$100,000 (US$63,557) Lego collection, is on the market for and is expected to sell for between A$2.9 and A$3.1 million. Besides the collection, which includes models of London Bridge, the Colosseum and other landmarks, the property has a pool, a basement bar, and city and bay views. “The Lego won’t stay but we know many people are collectors of items and we can see that room being used by other families or couples with their own personal collection,” said Adrian Butera, managing director of Compton Green Inner West, which is handling the sale. Salem, Massachusetts, Housing Market Lacking Supply
Salem, Massachusetts, one of the most popular Halloween tourist destinations in the U.S. due to its infamous witch trials in 1692, has an extreme shortage of homes for sale. “The witch trials are a very small part of our history, but it’s what attracts people,” said local agent Jim Armstrong of Armstrong Field Real Estate. “This time of year, we should have 40 single-family homes on the market. We probably have less than 10.” That dearth of homes for sale is resulting in bidding wars, and homes often sell for 5% to 10% over the asking price, he said. Realtor.com
