…Italian industrial designer Odo Fioravanti worked up some physical models…
…to create the CJ (Coffee Jockey) machine, which tips over from modernism to brutalism:
I thought perhaps it was a concept, but it was commissioned by espresso machine manufacturer Moak, and is apparently part of their forthcoming new line. Fioravanti put a lot of thought into how the basic geometric shapes that comprise the form go together:
Fioravanti has 2022 listed as the year for this project, but at press time it appears Moak is not yet selling it.
This article would work best as audio so we can hear Rain say “cuafee”. 😉
Nice clean design. Doesn’t try to mimic commercial machines. Don’t know about the “Brutal” blend though…
