The Hereditary Grand Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg are expecting their second child.
The couple have announced they will welcome a baby brother or sister for their son, Prince Charles, in April 2023.
In a brief statement from the Grand Ducal Court, it was confirmed that ”The Grand Duke and Duchess have the great joy of announcing that the Hereditary Grand Duke and Duchess are expecting their second child. The birth is due in April.”
The baby will be third in line to the throne of Luxembourg and will take the title of Prince or Princess.
The Hereditary Grand Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg welcomed their first child in 2020. Their son, Charles, was born on May 10th that year in the Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity Hospital in Luxembourg. He is second in line to the throne behind his father and is expected, one day, to succeed as Grand Duke.
Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie married in October 2012.
