In a first for Perth, WAAPA and Brookfield Place are bringing a live music series to support over 45 emerging artists with pop up performances in the Main Square.
This platform will connect students to the wider community to showcase their talent across contemporary, classical and jazz.
Not just a destination for delectable bites and award winning bars and restaurants, Brookfield Place is a cultural hub for arts and cultural events, as well as hosting fantastic events showcasing local and international talent.
2022 marked the 10-year anniversary for Brookfield Place Tower 1 – the impressive 45-level office tower that has shaped Perth’s skyline, and to celebrate, a three-year partnership with Edith Cowan University’s West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) department was borne.
The partnership will showcase local talent and enliven the CBD work week, giving over 45 students the opportunity to establish their music careers.
The WAAPA live music series is happening September through to mid-November, from 11.30am to 1.30pm in the Main Square – the perfect lunchtime treat for anyone who enjoys some great tunes with their meal.
