On August 24, AITO M7 models jointly built by Huawei and Seres started the first batch of delivery in Chongqing and Shenzhen and will be delivered nationwide. To help with the rollout, more than 700 national user centers and experience centers have been completed around the country.
The AITO M7 is the second vehicle designed by Huawei and Seres. It is positioned as a luxury and intelligent large SUV and was built from the pure electric drive extended range platform. The vehicle is equipped with a 1.5T four-cylinder range extender specially designed for range extension system which helps give the SUV a longer cruising range.
The CLTC rear-drive version of the M7 has a maximum battery life of 1220 km and a fuel consumption as low as 5.8L per 100 km. The four-wheel drive version only needs 4.8 s to accelerate from 0 km/h to 100 km/h. In addition, the SUV also has six-seat large spaces, zero-gravity seats and a newly upgraded HarmonyOS intelligent console, all of which makes it suitable for both family and business purposes.
The AITO M5, the first model launched by Seres in cooperation with Huawei, sold well when it first went on the market. The second model, the AITO M7, was released on July 4, and it took only 51 days to start delivery, beating out the M5’s 72 days to market.
The AITO M7 underwent 7.5 million kms worth of test mileage and endured more than 1,500 tests before it went on the market. As for after service, Seres and Huawei pioneered a new service model in the industry with which users can enjoy the same service content in Huawei malls and experience centers as well as Seres’ user centers.
As of August this year, the AITO brand has deployed to 171 cities and now has more than 700 user centers and experience centers completed and in operation. It is estimated that by the end of 2022, the number of experience and user centers will expand to more than 1,200, and the service capacity will be further enhanced.
