HASTINGS, New Zealand, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) — The four gannet colonies at Cape Kidnappers, located on the east coast of the north island of New Zealand, are the largest mainland gannet colony in New Zealand, with an estimated 20,000 gannets living here. Adult gannets arrive at Cape Kidnappers around July every year to begin courtship and nest building.
